Stephen King

CEO

Stephen is a founder of Phyworks Limited, with 20 years high tech Marketing and Sales Management experience. Stephen has spent the last nine years in the fiber optics industry at Maxtek Components Corporation as Business Development Manager for fiber optic transceiver products, VP of Business Development at Microcosm Communications Ltd and VP of Marketing and Applications at Conexant Systems Inc. in their ICON (ICs for Optical Networks) product group. Stephen has extensive experience in Business Development, defining new products and market opportunities and setting up new sales territories.

Tim Esparon

Vice President of Manufacturing Operations

Tim joined Phyworks in August 2004 and is responsible for enhancing Phyworks worldwide supplier relationships at strategic and tactical levels as well as developing cost effective test solutions for new product lines. Prior to joining Phyworks, Tim has enjoyed senior roles at 3D Labs where he was Manufacturing and Quality Director before becoming Vice President for worldwide operations. He has also held senior management positions at Micronas Semiconductor SA, SCI, and Hughes Microelectronics Ltd, where he was responsible for many of the company's quality and process management programs.

Nick Stables

Finance Director

Nick joined Phyworks in April 2005 as Finance Director. He previously worked at Agere where he held the position of CFO, Mobile Terminal Division which focused on the delivery of GPRS, Edge and 3G solutions for mobile phones. Nick joined Lucent Microelectronics (formerly AT&T) in 1993 and held various financial management positions before becoming EMEA CFO. Prior to joining AT&T, Nick spent several years with Unipart. Nick is a Chartered Management Accountant and holds a BA in Economics.

Brad Weaterton

Director of Marketing

Brad joined Phyworks in March 2005, bringing a wealth of marketing experience to the company and is responsible for Phyworks worldwide marketing strategy and initiatives. Prior to joining Phyworks, Brad has worked at Mitel, more commonly known as Zarlink Semiconductor, where he spent 13 years in various senior marketing roles. As well as this, Brad was also General Manager of Texas Instruments, Livingstone facility and has held sales and marketing roles in both pre and post IPO environments.

Vice President of Business Development

Matthew joined Phyworks in January 2005 as Vice President of Business Development Asia. Before joining Phyworks, he was the Asia Pacific Sales Director at Vitesse Semiconductor. Prior to Vitesse, he held senior sales management positions at JDS Uniphase in the Asia Pacific region. He has 15 years progressive high tech project and sales management experiences in both North American and international territories. His latest 8 years experiences are in fiber optics and semiconductor sector. Matthew holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Oral Roberts University.

Stuart Millard

VP of Engineering

Stuart has been with Phyworks since its foundation and has been involved in the development of its complete range of products. An honours graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with 20 years of Analogue/RF IC design experience using SiGe, BiCMOS and CMOS processes. Stuart holds a number of patents for his work in analogue and mixed signal IC design. He has previously worked with GEC Plessey Semiconductors and Microcosm Communications.

Bringing over 28 years of industry experience to Phyworks, Mike McTighe has held senior positions at some of the most successful global companies, including Chairman and CEO of Carrier1 International SA, Executive Director and Chief Executive of Cable and Wireless Global Operations and enjoyed senior management roles at Phillips, Motorola and GE.

Paul Mountford

Board Member

With 20 years sales and marketing experience, Paul Mountford is an acknowledged authority on technology marketing and sales. He is currently Senior Vice President of worldwide channels at Cisco Systems. The Global Channel Program which Mr Mountford has led for over two years is responsible for more than 92 percent of all Cisco Enterprise and Commercial Business.
