Integrating its own unique brand of electronic dispersion compensation and clock and data recovery technology, the Phyworks equaliser/retimer ICs are fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3aq 10GBASE-LRM standard for optical networks and enabled the world’s first active twin-ax copper cable assemblies capable of supporting interconnects up to 30m. Enabling copper cable interconnects to be hot-plugged into existing optical ports, the chips allow data center operators to increase flexibility while simultaneously reducing capital expenditure and power consumption.
